CFC-free production
In 1989, the company was the first producer of technical insulation worldwide to abstain from using the CFCs listed in the Montreal Protocol.
ISO 14001 audits
On the way to environmental standards which are valid worldwide, the company performs regular environmental compliance assessments in accordance with ISO 14001 in all plants.

Award for Ethics in Business
In 2005, Armacell received the Ethics in Business Award for its outstanding commitment to environmental and social issues. This award is presented to companies for their exemplary conduct towards people and the environment – also known as corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The Global Compact
In 2006, Armacell joined the UN initiative Global Compact, the world’s most important business network for sustainable globalization. Since then the company has implemented numerous projects in line with Global Compact’s commitment to help advance sustainable developments.
Code Of Conduct
In 2011 a specific code of conduct was adopted which obliges the entire company to act ethically. Five corporate values have been defined to which all employees worldwide are committed and which form a sound basis for working together with colleagues, business partners and the general public: Customer Experience, Commitment, Empowerment and Accountability, Integrity and Sustainability.
